A concurrent exhibition of two outstanding photographic artists from different generations.
Award-winning Chicago photographer Maggie Diaz established herself as one of Melbourne 's leading photographers in the 60's. From haunting images of Chicago 's housing projects in the 50's to Melbourne 's ‘battlers' in the 70's.
Tiffaney Bishop investigates the way women view and experience war and peace by creating digital montages with past and current images that explore the lived realities of women and children in war zones.
Artist Floortalk Meet Maggie Diaz, along with Tiffaney Bishop and exhibition curator Gwendolen De Lacy for morning tea and a floor talk at Burrinja. Bookings essential - 9754 8723.

Featuring 22 hills artists working across a range of mediums, Open Studios provides a unique insight into our artists’ work environments as well as their art. The Dandenong Ranges has a rich and vibrant artistic heritage which continues today. Open Studios allows local artists to share their artwork, and gives you the opportunity to get an inside look into the eclectic and often hidden art world of the hills.
